            A.         Cookies

The KLC website utilizes technology known as “ cookies.” A website cookie is a small text file that a web server places on a user’s computer. When accessing a cookie, a web server reads information that originally wrote in the cookie, but it is unable to determine any personal information about the user. You can set your browser to warn you when placement of a cookie is requested, and decide whether or not to accept it. By rejecting a cookie, some features or services available on the site may not function properly. 

The KLC uses cookies to gather precise data regarding the number of unique visitors to this website and the where the users are located. This data is used by the KLC in making decisions regarding the use of its website as a promotions, marketing and sales tool. Cookie technology is also used by the KLC to change promotional messages for regular visitors to the website. The KLC will utilize cookie information only for operational purposes, and not for gathering specific information on visitors or to gather information to send unsolicited e-mail messages to visitors. E-mail message pushes will be issued only to persons who have registered in the Player’s Fun Club who have given their express permission to receive such e-mail messages. The KLC will not sell cookie information to third parties.

Like most websites, the KLC’s website collects two types of information from website users: anonymous information and personal information. “Anonymous information” refers to data that cannot be linked a specific individual. KLC web servers log user hits, visits, sessions and service provider information. The statistics are compiled into website traffic reports, which help the KLC understand, anticipate and respond to user behavior, and contributes to a better overall experience for website users.

            C.        Personal Information

“Personal information” refers to data regarding a specific individual. The KLC will not collect any personal information about you unless you provide it voluntarily. If you do not want your personal information collected, please do not submit it to us. The only way we can obtain your personal information is if you submit through one our interactive forms or send us a general inquiry or feedback. For example, if a user wishes to join the Player’s Fun Club, contact information will be requested. Also, from time to time, our site requests information from users regarding surveys, promotions or contests. Participation in these surveys, promotions or contests is completely voluntary, and the user has a choice whether or not to disclose the information required for participation. Information requested may include contact information, such as name, address, telephone number and e-mail address, and demographic information, such as zip code, age, gender and product preferences. The requested information may be used to notify winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring and/or improving the use and satisfaction of this site or KLC products. Personal information will be used by employees of the KLC only on a need-to-know basis. The KLC will not release personal information to third parties except as required by the Kentucky open records law, found at KRS 61.870 – KRS 61.884, or as required by subpoena or order of a court of competent jurisdiction.
